With new grounding installed I took a CCrane Radio Plus 150-feet away tuned to 1680kHz. The audio-line fed into Scosche FMT4R and sent the signal at 87.7 FM.

Indoors, Sangeon ATS505, located right by the SStran3000, was tuned to 87.7 FM.
Audio level counterclockwise on SStran so only carrier and background noise was heard. Adjusted C5 for quietest signal.

Another Way Found
The first method I described involves setting the C.Crane AM and Scosche FM transmitter as far out in the yard as possible, which is a little bit inconvenient. Now there’s a way of doing it all indoors.
The Zenith Transoceanic has an RF Volume Control, which is found on a few better communications radios, and by turning it down to where the 1680 AM signal (with tone or good audio) is just barely receivable, then sent at 87.7 FM to a spot next to the SStran3000, it is possible to tweak for louder output from the Zenith radio.
