It was 4:35 when the number “35” came into my head. It will be the number of the next Low Power Hour, and all of a sudden I know what will fill the hour.

Coming here and talking about it is a whole lot easier than actually doing the program, and will definitely help, because I’ll have a stronger idea of how to paste all the pieces together.
There was a really good part on a recent “Big Picture Science” from SETI all about the invention of FM, so we’ll share that and notify other low powers how to get “Big Picture” for their schedules.
The engineers on “This Week in Radio Tech” talked about something interesting, oh I remember, it was the whole history of WWV and the other time radio stations from the Bureau of Standards. That’s another show available to part 15 stations.
Our conversation with Doggradio Studio 2 will continue as we reach “the good part.” I forgot what we said, so I’ll be interested in listening.
Another episode of Flash Frisbone, and that whole series is available to all stations, stay tuned.
I’ll probably make up some “Low Power In the News.” If you know any low power stuff add it to this blog and I might get it in time to use.

“The Good Part” (?)
Uh oh.
Carl, don’t forget to edit out the:
1) The 4 A-10 jets flying over
2) The kid trying to play lacrosse
with his dog
3) My next door neighbor yelling
about my 80 meter wire that’s on
the ground
4) The 1953 remade Oldsmobile turbo
charged vintage auto with dual
exhaust starting up and
5) Me sneezing. It’s allergy season
you know. There’s so much pollen
out here, some guy stuck on a
remote highway with a dead car
scooped up a bunch of pollen and
wrote the letters “help me'” and
a Police helicopter saw it and rescued
him.
6) Just about every other word that I say
because of all the sneezing.
7) My dogs barking
8) The dogs next door to you barking
9) The air conditioner in my downstairs
that is stuck on “HIGH” because the
knob fell off
and finally
10) The bird that flew in one window of my
house and started eating my cheese
sandwich
Good luck with all that recording tape all
over the floor. I hope it doesn’t get caught
in your 13.560 MHz dipole.
Best Wishes,
Bruce, DRS2
Now What
But Bruce, that’s all there is.
Announcing It
Only 1-minute ago I dotted the last “T” making LPH # 35 official!
Time ran out, forcing the continuation of the WWV feature in the upcoming # 36.
The uploading still needs to be done, but we’re staying late and getting it done.
Afternoon Update:
LPH#35 is uploaded and ready for affiliates and radio friends.
There is also an on demand version available for immediate listening at
http://www.kdxradio.com/demand.html
Thanks Carl!
I’m going to listen to it
right now!
Bruce, DRS2
I’m listening to the low power hour on KDX Demand right now…
…and it’s giving me ideas. I think it would be awesome to maybe buy a Ford e150 panel van and set up a mobile studio with a transmitter. I could drive all around town and broadcast. In fact, I could even do a mobile site to transmitter link from events close to the studio using part 15 technology. Owensville is the home of the Clermont County Fair. I could really have a lot of fun broadcasting live from the fair.
I have tons of ideas. Now all I need is a better job. By the way, I got wrote up at work last night. I shouted an obscene word when I got frustrated and stressed out. Apparently there is no dump button in real life. One more strike and I’m terminated. Ugh! But I’m rambling again.
Not Fair
It is not fair when jobs are under pressure to the point of causing a sharp word to escape, and the manager can’t accept this as a natural result of the type job….. now I want to swear about how frustrating that is.
A lady I know washes dishes at a popular restaurant, and she tells about the four-letter words she uses to get through her shift. Her boss seems to think the bad language is better than paying her more.
Good luck channelx1610. You are obviously smart, and will probably have a better job eventually.
