Server Configuration Error

December 12, 2014 by admin 3 Comments

Hello all, my apologies for the server errors that apparently had part15.us unavailable for many of you today. I was unaware the site was having difficulty until this evening and even now, I am not completely certain that the problem has been fixed. I will monitor closely, but it you are experiencing intermittend issues, be sure to clear your browser cache and/or try browsing in private or incognito mode.

Thanks for your patience!

Jon Paul

    Thank You Jon Paul

Noon hour here in the midwaste and part15(dot)us is back on the screen.

Life without it sets us back to about 1889, so please do the small favor of keeping this website going for the rest of time.

I know I’ve seen “privacy setting” somewhere in Firefox, but today I can’t find it. I will scour the documentation and figure it out.

I (and at least one other to whom I was corresponding via e-mail) managed to fix it by clearing out our Firefox browser cache completely.  It always worked with Internet Explorer.

      Site Glitch
I was affected by this and am not sure why it happened nor why clearing the cache/cookies fixed it. I use Firefox and it recently upgraded to a “better” version but I don’t think this was the problem.

At first clearing seemed to fix things but then it came back. Then it worked again and continues to work. Firefox warned me that the page was being redirected and the address bar showed a different URL than is usually being used for this site.

My best guess at the moment is that the web is heavily loaded and perhaps some of the web routers couldn’t resolve the link to the site and went instead to the page which was seen, perhaps because of a timeout. This is just a guess.

      Neil
