In previous posts I have conjectured about filling every open frequency with a part 15 image of your programming, balancing the lack of power by a dominance of presence. To a small degree that’s what I do, with 4x AMs and 3x FMs.
Such grouping of frequencies in a single area is very much at the chance of good frequency choices in given locations, which is different from place to place.
Assuming a goodly number of frequency openings, another approach came into mind just four minutes ago.
It would be quite interesting and a lot of fun to re-broadcast the streams coming from other part 15 broadcasters so that your local dial would contain as many of them as you could fit into the available resources.
To do this, a powerful internet connection/computer would play a key role to simultaneously stream several signals.
But once it was all happening, you would have a smorgasbord of choices all over the dial.
Multi-Stream Sourcing
Most everyone’s internet connection is geared for the download side than the upload side. If your stream sources are at a decent bitrate for good sound but not so high that just one hogs up everything, you should be ok.
But if your going to do any of this, you will want to run each stream “receiver” to be on their own PC and through a router so you can cap each receiving PC’s bandwidth utilization through that router, making everything work smoothly and not one or more become a hog.
You will run into trouble trying to do this from a single PC..good internet connection or not.

Concerning the matter of a strong internet connection.. I recently viewed a youtube video “Double Your Internet Speed for Free” demonstrating a simple trick involving an ethernet cable.

Finaly, I’m A Skeptic…
I generally am not quick to pass judgement but even without trying this one (double your internet speed), I don’t think so.
For starters there’s no electrical connection to the added cable.
These are twisted pair cables. The twist makes them fairly well self shielding so I don’t think there could be any useful inductive coupling between the two cables.
As such, how is the cross section area of the cable passing signal affected?
And where is this cable placed? Apparently between the PC network card and either the WAN modem or a LAN switch/hub by the description presented.
LAN cable can introduce error correction which slows down data transfer when the cable is too long. Current TIA standards put that at around 90 meters before exceeding standards.
IDE hard drive ribbon cables require 40 conductors. By placing an additional conductor between each of the 40, making it an 80 conductor cable, it’s said improves data transfer but that’s because the extra conductors serve to isolate the active conductors from each other.
Nahhhh, I don’t think so. Someone try it and let us know because I can’t bring myself to do that.
