OT: CISPA

May 14, 2012 by jpjanze

this is an off topic political post but this has a potential to directly affect us as a group and everyone needs to be made aware of this very dangerous legislation. it has been posted on other part 15 forums and most every forum as this has the potential to impact how we communicate on the net if it is not stopped.

Admins: please at a minimum leave this post to stand it would be great if this one was made a sticky in the main forums.

yet another government attempt to stifle free speech, innovation and erode our freedoms all in the name of bigger corporate profits.

          On Topic
Freedom to communicate by way of the internet is dead center ON TOPIC here at part15.us; on the websites of member low power stations; directly related to the content of radio streaming; and finally the fact of low power broadcasting itself.

We owe you our gratitude, kc8gpd, for making this a topic of concern.

There are dangerous and ominous reasons why corporate and government powers want to clamp down on communication.

It is time for the “go along to get along” crowd to, at the very least, convince us why we should ignore the dismantling of civil society. We is it that we should “remain silent” and “look the other way?”

We should become articulate on one side of the argument or the other.
