Listen2myradio.com is a new, free streaming service.
You control your radio with the Admin Panel and you will be provided an IP number and port for your shoutcast stream destination.
Set up shoutcast on a PC at your location, enter the IP & port for your server and you’re on the stream.

Listeners will use an address that will be created by you with your account.
For example: http://scwis.listen2myradio.com
You can put that link on your station home page, your Part15.us blog page or even as a “listen now” link on your station listing here on Part15.us

The embedding is very interesting
As that is strictly forbidden by the other provider, as per their recent policy statement:

I want you all to know that this is against the listen2myradio rules… If you are caught doing this you will lose your radio and be banned from the website!!!
If you post the code to embed your radio on the forum, that post will be removed, and you will be warned. If you do it again you will be banned from the forum, and you will also lose your radio for good!
If you want to embed your radio player into your own website then you must sign up for premium.”

The listen2myradio forums are pretty good and have excellent FAQs and help files for those new to streaming, including some good info on shoutcast frustrations and soundcard issues.
Just don’t embed 🙂
Ups and Downs
I have been using Listen2MyRadio for a few years. Yes, it’s free but not without problems.
Typically you should check your stream status periodically as they shut off your “radio” for various reasons. Sometimes you will receive notice of that, sometimes not. Sometimes you can simply turn it back on, other times you must restart by changing server and password setup.
Oh yeah, my Avira Antivirus program always interrupts the loading of the Listen2MyRadio player. Claims there is a trojan, which I select “deny access.” The player loads and plays. Hmmmm…
Free Streaming
SCWIS, when you say that listen2myradio.com does not allow embedding, does that mean you cannot have a “link” or “button” on your own website that connects your visitors to the stream?
And mir, if you see this, please report on the results of your tests with freestreamhosting.org.
Both sites are in the U.K., according to the country flag that appears in Firefox.
