A couple years ago I was easily able to locate the FCCs Certification Information for the C.Crane FM Transmitter.
But today is different. I cannot figure out how to find such information for the Wholehouse 2.0 FM Transmitter.
Maybe you know how to do it.
The FCC # for Wholehouse: XAOWH-FMT
Good luck.
Take Notice
Seems over the last couple of years, data that was once easily found is now like fragments of a needle in a much larger haystack.
What is most odd is which particular information seems to be “lost”.

The re-design of the FCC web
The re-design of the FCC web page pretty much sucks.
What Is And What Was
I think it looks alright. It’s not so..bland on the color scheme and the layout is a bit more modern.
Looks like your typical 2003-2007 era website. 😀

Freindly Fisss
I pronounce “FCC” this way…
“Fissssss.”
My review of the New Friendly Fisss Website is…
“Where am I and why am I here?”
Nothing leads a trail to finding certified equipment documentation, whereas the older, less friendly Fisss site had a clear path directly to the objective.
As with all things government, the “friendly” sight is exactly not friendly.
Look for friends elsewhere. Please report any suspicious packages.
Look Out…
I was going to call my radio business “Felmly’s Communication Company”.
I could put a big logo on my vehicle “FCC”.
That would shake up some people.

I Can See It Now
“One of the FCC’s is on the phone.”
“Ask which one it is.”

Grantee Code: XOA
Product Code: WH-FMT
Either one of the two entries is sufficient for this FCCID.
Appreciated
Very helpful PhilB, it worked just as you described, and I was able to view the certification exhibits for the Wholehouse 2.0 FM Transmitter.
The test chamber was fascinating, with its upper/lower palindrome triangular antennas;
The internal pictures of the circuit board were just like my transmitter, except that there is one very interesting difference. But I will describe that on the LPH in the near future;
The much hoped for circuit diagram was not present, as indicated by a letter requesting confidentiality.
My reason for wanting to see the diagram is to determine where I can pick up an RF ground. The only external ground is the audio ground, but it is likely that an inductor keeps the audio ground from being an RF path.
An example of this can be seen in the diagram for the C.Crane FM Transmitter, wherein the audio ground is indeed coupled through an inductor.
Another possibility with the Wholehouse is the battery compartment, where possibly the ground terminal is attached to RF ground.
If I can find out I will share the information.
i also attempted to obtain
i also attempted to obtain the rangemaster data via a FOIA request earlier on when
this whole ground lead debate first got started they replied that the data
can not be found in their archives.
and then i ask again, surely these manufacturers have copies of their FCC certification data.
why are these manufacturers NOT RELEASING this data!!!!!
