So should we wind coils in a clockwise manner here north of the equator?

Interesting implication
If we could erect an antenna at the north or south pole, could we then just use a straight wire as a coil?

I think at the poles you’d need to wind a coil vertically.
Coriolis effect
The Coriolis effect is very small, especially over small areas. It does affect the direction of large-area weather systems (counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere, opposite in the southern). It doesn’t affect a small system, like the vortex produced by an ordinary drain. Perhaps a very carefully controlled experiment can be set up using a precision drain to demonstrate the Coriolis effect. Coils wouldn’t be affected either.
