Import the picture to your computer. My pictures will do.

Then select copy image and then come to this site and paste and the picture will be posted.

If it is in your pictures on the computer select the icon at the far right here which is insert image and select from the computer.

Two ways.

Hello!

I haven’t posted for a while, been busy building some new projects that I want to share with you. One of the projects is this AM transmitter kit which is being sold on eBay by HAM KITS this is the link:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/531-to-1602-kHz-Low-power-AM-PLL-transmitter-kit-for-learning/153247578767?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

I have built two of these transmitters and one is pictured here. The transmitter works really well and has a nice low end as far as audio is concerned. Frequency is right on the money. The kit comes with two crystals for 10kc spacing and one for 9 kc spacing. I also scratch built a matching loading coil for the transmitter and it tunes nicely with ten feet of antenna wire. The loading coil uses a rod from a discarded AM antenna which slides into a coil form. The wire is 24 gauge wound on a form that is from a paper roll that was used on a receipt machine.  The transmitter has very detailed information for it located on the eBay add. I would recommend if you buy this kit that you also download and save the instructions for future use in case you need them. Hopefully I am useful in posting the pictures.

Looks great, what kind of range are you getting? Does it operate at the full 100 mW?

May be a good alternative for the now discontinued SStran kits.

Went to the item on ebay and was surprised that this seller ships anywhere in the world except China and Canada. Strange.

With to feet antenna inside the house it covers the yard, This has 45 Mw output. If you use an outside antenna range can be expected to be much better.

Missed Out

The Ebay listing for this transmitter is marked "Sold - This listing has ended".

Anyway, your picture of the circuit board looks very neat and well laid-out.

If this transmitter is in short supply it may not be of use to most.

We'll watch to see if it re-appears.

The eBay seller has relisted this AM transmitter kit,if interested, do a search for  AM TRANSMITTER FOR LEARNING or just AM transmitter and look for it. They have two AM transmitters, one is a simple one that runs with no PLL, I built that one too, and as the title of the listing says "for Learning" I learned that this one isn't much good, the PLL one is a nice unit- Just passing this info along in case anyone wants to try this transmitter out.

I have also purchased various transmitter boards on ebay that use the BH 1417 chip, I have tested them and can give you some reports on how they turned out if anyone is interested. There is one made on a blue board that is exceptional, it has a 150 Mw output and performs extremely well on the top and bottom set of frequencies. I will enclose some pictures of that project.

Good to see that kits are still available for those who like building it yourself.

The FM one you showed with the pictures I guess came with the board already assembled but did you rig the rest(RCA jacks, switch, antenna jack, etc yourself or did that come with the metal case as part of the kit?

Kind of restrictive if there are no empty places to go at the top or lower end of the band.
