Haha, no I'm not @richpowers! I did know about the SW200 when it was in development, but not the SW300, and I certainly don't have even the slightest inkling or bit of info about any possible upcoming Part 15 products from anyone. If I was keeping a secret, I'd either be giving you a more nuanced answer, or I'd be pretending I didn't see your question!

You know what? I wouldn't be surprised if ChatGPT could design a premium and super efficient part 15 AM transmitter that could rival or exceed any transmitter performace out there.. You ever consider that?

I wouldn't trust ChatGPT to tie my shoelaces, let alone design a transmitter! Maybe in a few years........

I see AI as a tool @richpowers. Its rather like the internet - you still need critical thinking skills to use it effectively. Maybe at some point in the future, you won't. Currently though, I'm seeing an awful lot of half-truths and misleading information being propagated by people who are not able to apply a basic "truth test" to what their AI tools are churning out. They simply repost without thinking, because they don't understand the basic subject matter.

As I said, maybe in a few years, but not right now.

Absolutely Dave. I agree with every word you just said. No doubt. But I still think in the present day, that ai could with careful direction, design a quality part 15 AM transmitter.

And just on a whim, this morning googled "new part 15 broadcast" - I meant to include the word "products" too, but "new part 15 broadcast" is all that got entered, and the top of the list result amused me. I'm not absolutely sure everyone will get the same exact results because of algorithms and whatnot, but give it a try and then click the top result that google returned (I dont mean the ai summary at the top of the page) and let's see if it's the same...

https://www.google.com/search?q=new+part+15+broadcast&oq=new+part+15+broadcast&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigATIHCAUQIRigATIHCAYQIRiPAtIBCTE4MzUyajBqNKgCAbACAQ&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Oh, and what's also weird is the top results says it was updated 3 days ago

I think that Google results are somewhat tailored to the individual user though aren't they? I'm not sure I'd attach too much importance to this result, unless 10 out of 10 cat owners experienced the same.

Google Result

@rugster Thats what you got when you clicked the link? your image is a bit fuzzy but it looks like your top result for "new part 15 broadcast" was part15.org - that's cool. For me this was the top result: I turned my phone sideways for this screenshot:

Screenshot 20250111 110226 Chrome

Note google shows it was updated 3 days ago, not sure why because it's a closed thread that was last updated in 2008. Anyway, it's an interesting thread to read through I thought. The link went to https://radiodiscussions.com/threads/new-part-15-broadcasters-resource-launched.528208/

If you click on it @richpowers, it opens up to a much large image. At least. on my computer it does.

Perhaps Google re-searched the page 3 days ago, hence the notation. It doesn't look as if it was updated.

I'm aware of that, here I opened the image in a new window and downloaded it. This is what I get.   Maybe it's an issue with my connection speed since my high speed data has run out, but I'm not experiencing it with other images, so I dont know why it comes out fuzzy for me

Does either image look fuzzy to anyone else or is it just on my end?

Hmmm. Nope, I spoke too soon..Even the first image screenshot I uploaded myself is displaying fuzzy. Strange. I guess the images just aren't fully loading for me today.. You were right. The problem appears to mine
