You may have noticed that Brooce WLP, formerly Dog Radio Studio, has founded station WLP in Hartford, Connecticut.

So then it's interesting to discover WLPP, the first Pagan Owned station, 102.9 Palenville, NY.

It looks like a dream radio station.

To Mr. Legacy:

You and I have so so much in common.

I hope some day we can talk.

I am in foreclosure right now.   -  Moving

out in about 4 weeks.

By the way.  Don't be ashamed of having just

a $50 boombox to DX with.  You heard WRCR -

and I think you are a great DXer.

It's not the radio, but what you do with it.

I used to have a big set-up.  I still have a lot

of it, but it's at different friend's and family's houses

and most will be sold.  Right now, my best AM DX radio

(and I listen to the AM band all the time) is a 24 year old

Sony SRF-SW20.  It is held together by duct tape.  I have

a few other things here but not much.

You can still make a good monitoring station with old unusual

equipment.  In some ways, it's more fun.  I've used old regenerative

tube radios and crystal sets.  I've had a ton of fun.

I also heard Trans World Radio on 800 kHz years ago.  I heard

it so many times it really wasn't DX after a while.

I have enjoyed monitoring WRCR.  It's just another

part of my tuning all over the place on FM and AM -

but mostly AM.  I have listened all over the radio spectrum

in my life, but I'm mostly on the AM band now.

I have some idea of what you are dealing with and I

consider you to be an inspiration.

Keep going.  We will go together.  (At least as best as

we can.  I would be easier if we lived in the same

neighborhood or something like that.)

Very Best Wishes,

Brooce, WLP

Yesterday on my drive home from work at 5PM I heard WRCR in MD on MD152 between I95 and MD147. (That is not the range of the signal, it is just when I had the radio on 1700AM). It was about a 270 mile distance from my car to the transmitter.

Hey did I read Pagan Radio?  NYC and Long Island has a lot of folks into Metaphysics.  I'm into it a bit myself.  From crystal meditation to OM meditation to a little Hinduism but I don't get to the part of not eating meat.  I have thought that it would be cool to have a Metaphysical Radio station where as instead of preaching Christian belief one would talk about Metaphysics and even do psychic stuff and talk about UFO's and more.  I know at night you hear talk shows on AM that talks a bit about it however.  I've heard some while messing around.

In Post # 16 I introduced WLPP  the Nation's First Pagan Station, located in Palenville, NY (no relation ro Sarah).

Lo and behold WLPP is being talked about on the Radio Survivor Podcast # 14.
