So as not to hijack the WDCX thread about streaming royalties:
How is your streaming hosted?
I've used Listen2MyRadio.com, a free hosting service.
This service has improved over the years I've been using it. They recently updated their user interface.
Currently I'm hosting my MRAM 1500 AM and a live NOAA WX service from my home PC's.
These are WinAmp type links so you may need to cut and paste into a different player.
I use ShoutCast DNAS which is the server software.
I use BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool) which is a stand-alone stream source. I had to start using BUTT instead of the ShoutCast Source plug-in as the newer ZaraRadio does not support plug-ins.
Granted, I can't support very many listeners simultaneously but this meets my needs. Only the NOAA WX stream has maxed out. I have it set to 32 maximum listeners. If my MRAM ever develops a consistent need, perhaps I'll switch back to Listen2MyRadio hosting.
Also, as my DSL is not a static IP address, I use DYNDNS. This is a service that monitors my IP address and directs the published URL to my current IP address. This was a free service for several years. They now charge a small annual fee.
For your hosting add delivery content leads head to this link this is what I usedjcmedia.com/billing/aff.php?aff=012
DJC Media is the service. Yes I getssome credit for this.
