Ok, it's about 10pm, is it just me, or has the forum board gone whacky?

The website is back to normal tonight but yesterday wacky would be the word because the website layout was so scattered and mixed around that I thought there was a melt down.

I did notice last night a couple page loads appeared like a default VGA resolution with no graphics. And then, it was fine.

That exactly describes what I'm experiencing, the only pages coming in correctly is the main page, and once inside a thread.. but the rest is in total disarray.

All the advertisements are running down the center of the page, and I have to scroll way way way down to find the topic index and to be able to post in this box I am typing in right now.

You think this has something to do with the meltdown in Japan?
Or could it be the sunspots?

It's not my browser or pc, as I also tried on my desktop with the same results.
odd.

I'll check back later...

So the situation in Japan might be having some impact - not that we are hosted on servers there, but lots of big systems were, and now they are moving to other servers and there's lots of unusual traffic and rerouting and such. I've been noticing it quite a bit since Friday and only very, very rarely before then.

It seems to be real come-and-go.

Yeah, I'm sure that has had some temporary effect on the internet. They lost almost everything on the NE coast and also part of the NW coast as well (Sea of Japan ... 6.3 quake there on the heels of big one).

Emptying your browser cache will solve the problem...or hit the refresh button...It did for me.

Hmm...isn't outsourcing wonderful! Always has an impact on some level or another doesn't it!

Speaking of the risks of outsourcing, it has always seemed obvious to me that the notion of "safely storing all your stuff at some remote site for backup purposes" has woops written all over it.

"We're sorry, but the site you are trying to access is a vacant lot in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. No forwarding information is available."

The best outsource for data storage is the external drive or flash stick sitting next to the pile of blank discs that are well within reach.

You know, I'm still getting the odd page layout problem here.. checked it on 3 different computers as well as on different browsers.
I've cleared cache's, and ran ccleaner, but it keeps happening. Can't make sense of it.

It only happens here.

Yes, can't get anywhere than the front page with ads offset to the center. The menus don't work, just returns to the front page as above.

On Acer Aspire netbook. Explorer won';t work, Chrome won't work. However, updated Firefox and also Flash, which is working OK. That's where I am now, but Explorer and Chrome are still thrashed, unusable on this site.

The part15.us web pages are once again scattered in a confusing way, with things in odd places even though I can eventually feel my way around, it's real tilt.

It got goofy a day ago, then was normal while others were still reporting problems, now it's gone spill.

I don't know why I'm speaking in rap.

I think your rap talk is what's screwing up the pages.

Everything is working fine for me now.. finally.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not, but when I played the 528hz tone on my laptop, the pages just suddenly straightened themselves out and my headache went away... and there's some girl knocking on the door..
