In this month's QST magazine I noticed an ad for Heathkit. When did they come back?
They offer just a couple kits; a TRF AM radio (solder or no solder assembly) and a digital clock. They also offer parts for a few select items from the past.
A bit pricey but Heathkit quality.
I thought Heathkit gave it up again about a year ago. I am glad to see them back. I noticed Ten Tec is doing some open source radio stuff too.
Probably someone with the rights to the name and logo.
That AM radio takes you back before the superhedrodone system. How do you know what station you are on with this though?
600uV sensitivity is better than a lot of "run of the mill" portables you have now.
My dad in the early 60s built a heathkit FM tuner and amp seperately.
They should offer more products.
Cool that the name lives on.

A few years ago, Heathkit announced their comeback.
In fact, I think i was still living in London,Ky at the time of that announcement.
I'll have to look into their products, at least do some window shopping.
