My host says it should be back up in 48 hours ... e'll se. In any case you can click on the hyperlinks on my Facebook page:
I'm doing a live interview of local incumbent county council candidate tomorrow @ 2:00pm PDT
Yes, I lost the connection to the NOAA WX mp3's from Cleveland, Ohio around 3:20 pm today. But, it was due to a phone company fiber optic cable being cut.
The connection to Sandy? This loss has interrupted weather updates from NOAA which I run on my station and the City's TIS station.
I was forced to read copy!!! And, I'll have to update it regularly until they come back on line.
Sheesh...
Well, at least the local NOAA WX station is still broadcasting. You can hear them on my WinAmp NOAA LINK.
Did you look at the video? Put the Statue of Liberty Neuralizer at the end of MiB2 to shame, no FX involved either. Prolly made some RF noise too ๐
I also run NOAA Puget Sound Weather 162.425mHz fed from a scanner. Turns out more people listen to it than I thought; just ran into two more people at a local burger shop that listen every morning on their way to work.
Whether Storm Sandy had anything to do with it or not, I am presuming that my website failures must relate to the storm since they began concurrent with Sandy.
As I've tried to upload Low Power Hours 62 and 63 I get a "This connection has reset.... Try later."
Eventually I'll phone them and have a chat, but meanwhile that's the story of what's going on.
I'm a little worried about No. 63, during which my stream of consciousness overflowed its banks with talk about subjects far beyond low power radio, so I may need to do a factory recall and produce a more antiseptic version. Wouldn't want to get the affiliate stations agitated, or there might be a mother's march against the Low Power Hour to make it stop saying stuff about things.
Is it Free Form? Or, Freely Formless?
