Well now, exactly what I was thinking! I'm going to use this frequency to link to a string of part 15 am and fm transmitters as well as a possible worldwide outlet! We think alike! I am continuing to work on my new transmitter design as time permits. I have named it the Hifer One. Current design will be AM,solid state, crystal controlled. I actually found a crystal in my junkbox on 13.56!
On another note,I was checking out the range on the DOT's TIR transmitter on 1480 today, awesome range of about 10-12 miles!Wish we could run 10 watts!
I have run QRP on 10 meter SSB and have about 40 countrys on 10.......dont care much for CW,too slow! And dont forget the 11 meter part 15 stuff. Regards,Lee
Well,I have scrapped my design and went with the Wentzel design adapted for shortwave.I couldnt get mine to modulate properly, but the Wentzel is a proven design and works well. Its on the air in AM mode on 13.56 from EN92 and would like any reception reports. Its on 24/7 with oldies format.I acquired an EDM10 for FM(101.5) and a SStran3000 for AM(1610). The FM works super but I am having trouble getting the AM antenna to resonate.More work on that as weather permits.I have also upgraded the audio chain including a new 24 bit PCI soundcard.Zara1.4 with sound solution drives the show.
I have ripped some nice radio spots off a 1966 NRM kit LP,go radio...americas sound habit. Looking for a place to post them for everyones pleasure. Also have some pics of the shortwave Wentzel.
Regards,Lee
