Watch out. Run like hell. Cover your parts.
Thanks Carl! Isn't that funny - my brother
told me about this just a few minutes ago.
The word I got from him is that GPS operations
could be effected - but not much else. I don't
know what that REALLY means.
By the way - space weather is very interesting -
and it reminded me of something else. As you know -
there are asteriods and all kinds of rocks and objects
going by the earth all of the time.
There is an observatory that watches and correlates
all of these objects and the reports of them. All the time
of course. And the supervising scientist/astronomer
(I can't remember his name) - has been given some
kind of title, which though amusing - carries a great
deal of weight. I don't remember the exact title -
but it is something like "The man who is constantly
watching over and saving the Earth 24 hours a day."
(I'm glad I'm not him.)
If I know you Carl, you will probably find out more
about that and what the "title" of that astronomer/scientist
really is.
In the meantime, some of us might see an auroral display in the next
couple of nights.
Best Wishes,
Bruce
