Toward Accuracy in the Measurement of FM Antenna Patterns & Performance

Below are graphics applying to the FM/TV antenna test site near Palmyra, MO used by Harris Broadcast Division, and pics of a Harris FMH-7BC FM broadcast antenna mounted on 120 feet of 10-ft face tower sections all being loaded onto the horizontal turntable there for H- & V-pol measurements of its azimuth AND elevation patterns (full scale model).

Few, and probably no "Part 15 FM" operators would want to pay for such tests -- but still they provide the most accurate measure of the performance of such antennas.

Just to add perspective on this subject for those who might be interested.
