I believe it to be true. That is the way of religion.
However, science is interesting as well, and I believe a test should indeed be run to find me right.
But I will be unable to do such a test because I will not elevate my AM antennas.
Therefore I will go on in faith, oblivious to my scoffers.
Very Republican, I must say.
Those who hold true and deep to beliefs tend to be the most difficult to convince otherwise! ๐

I plan to try MRAM's idea tomorrow to see if this works .
I truly believe that MRAM's idea will work.
I also want to say I am truly impressed with the IAM Radio ATU and the Talking house Transmitter .
The Total cost with this system is very good compared to the other guys.
Also I agree with MRAM's posts on the Info Systems ATU and the 300 feet of line going from the Transmitter and the ATU.
After doing all of the research I have done over the past two months I have to say I think the I AM Radio systems if the best of all choices for our Small stations.
getting over one mile off my ATU really proved to me that we really need to consider all aspects of the Talking House systems.
Again I am impressed and the fact that the FCC looks at the ATU being legal.
As far as I can see the I AM Radio system is the best on out there.
I will post more picks of my grounds and once everything is final with this station I will share everything I have learned from all of my research.
MRAM has the answer to the ground issue and I hope everyone reads and understands what he is saying..
Follow these instructions and have a radio station that gets out over a mile and is perfectly legal.
My insane group of transmitters is only meant for very local coverage. I have no interest in whatever audience might reside up or down the streets. From what I can tell, they are religion and sports fanatics and are already being served by cable and dish TV.
But lucky me, I have a whole batch of privately owned stations playing exactly what I want to hear all day long.
But IF, I say IF, I wanted to get out to a mile all around, I am happy to hear there are ways it can be done.
Many part 15 users want to get out as far as possible. I want them to be able to do it.
Carl I love the ideas you have with your Transmitters. It beats TV now days by a mile ๐
Also I want to say thanks for understanding why we are working on bringing our little stations to a better level of broadcasting.
We can find the path to bring these little stations up to being able to transmit over a mile if we stop arguing all the little issues and work on trying to come up with ways to broadcast our signals over a mile.
MRAM has a way to do this , And I plan to prove it works .
The Talking House ATU just opened up a rather elegant way to make this happen.
So let's all sit back and try to figure out the best and most affordable way to make things better for Part15 AM Stations.
It's like the carrier Current system , I am working on building a Transmitter and coupling device to save some cash and build a better and more affordable system.
Instead of arguing let's use our brains to make a better world.
"Instead of arguing let's use our brains to make a better world."
(sigh) No one is arguing. We're discussing. ๐

I just got done with the new ground that MRAM was taking about.
All the Antenna wires are now piped into the studio.
I went out for a test with the new ground system.
Let me explain how it all works.
first the Antenna Cable is going though the wall into the studio with a Ground Wire also going though the hole in the wall.
The Ground is now attached to the Transmitter chassis and then runs out the wall to the Ground that is eight foot into the earth.
The ground wire is no more than six inches off the ground or earth.
It runs three feet into the studio, that is the total length of the ground wire now.
I will post pics tomorrow of this new system.
Ok now when I tuned the ATU for 1610 for the new ground wire it got to a nine on the tune scale.
So that tells me the ground is working great.
First test.
Once again playing Rick Derringers waking the dog .
At 9:00 PM PDT with the sun down.
Range 1.5 miles to the east .
2.0 miles to the west.
Solid signal to abut 1.6 miles with my car radio being able to auto find the station.
Pictures coming.
there ya have it gang. It's legal and it work's perfect.
I think MRAM has found a way to make the Talking House ATU and Transmitter better than any other Transmitter out there.
Funny thing is that during the daylight hours the Station only got about 1/2 mile more than at night in the first test's.
I plan to do a video very soon showing all of this stuff.
Thanks to Mram for the idea and for showing me the way's to make the talking House a better transmitter.
Sounds like the RF ground works great.
When I do mine I will put an inline coax lightning protector at the outside of the entrance point. My ground rod will be as close to that protector as possible. I probably will not bother with a ground wire from the transmitter to the ground rod as the coax will serve the same purpose.
My reason, I'd rather shunt the static discharge (lightning) to ground as far away from the transmitter as practical. And, my RF return to ground still goes to the ground rod. Otherwise, the static discharge will have to hit the transmitter before it reaches the ground rod.
Yes? No?
Robert , I have decided to re do my ground for the second time to follow your instructions on the safety aspect.
Once that is done , I am off to working on the studio 100%
Got to get that compressor going ๐
I just made the deal for the Internet Stream and I also want to recomend my streaming partner to you all.
Monster FM has the best deal I have ever seen so check them out.
