I will be ordering a 24 hour analog wall clock... maybe two... and do all broadcasting with reference to UTC, the 24-hour world time standard.
Local time is fine for local affairs, but Worldround Radio is not a local station... we broadcast everywhere from three international audio servers.
Take a look

Now, how do you achieve simultaneity with Greenwich?
(Poincare and Einstein)
Neil
For me, I start drinking at the same time pubs open in Greenwich.
This is not just a matter of knowing the time offset from UTC and it was a tickler for Carl who has read a book I recommended on this topic. No need to dwell on it here though.
What I would like to have is a base 10 time system. It is aggravating to convert 3:20 to seconds for example.
Neil
Neil, you've nailed it!
We go on strike against sexagecimal time clocks;
We build, promote and utilize base-10-clocks;
We stop showing up for appointments based on obsolete clocks;
We'll call it "Neo Time (New Time)"...
No, no, no... better yet... "Neil Time."
Get ready to coordinate.
So like, a day would be 10 Neil's, our current hour would be .41666666 Neil's and 1 Neil would be 2.4 of our current hours.
Clocks would run 2.4 times slower. Our noon would become 5 O'Neil as AM/PM wouldn't work well in this format.
What would minutes and seconds in Neil time be know as? Neilutes and Neconds?
I don't even want to think about leap time.
Kid's, it's 8.75 Neil's! Time for bed!
It's a brave new world...
You guys are amazing. You have an entry in Wikipedia already! That didn't take long!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_time
Wow, did you read that?
Did you see...
What DIME is it?
It's a wonder this decimal time didn't emerge with the big "metric" push several years ago. As a result of that I have two sets of tools for mechanical works.
The "common core" of time keeping!
had just come out of college. He had
been a journalism major and wanted a
"news room" in his small apartment. He wanted
a row of clocks on the wall for the different
time zones. So he started buying fairly big
battery run clocks and put them on the wall
in a row with time zone "names" printed on
them. These clocks would jump forward every
minute with a "click" sound. After he had about
5 or 6 clocks up on the wall - all the clicking sounds
together started keeping him awake at night.
He took the clocks down.
Bruce
He took the clocks down.
Ba-da-boom.
And, yes - you guys are amazing.
Bruce
That is really cool Bob !!!!!!!
My digital (but analog face) wrist watch
got slow every once in a while. A few days
it was waaaay behind. So about 2 hours ago
I took it to the local jewelry store and asked if
they could put in a new battery. They did that
and brought it back out to me. It wasn't running.
The man behind the counter and I decided it was
broken. He took the battery back and I left.
Ta dahhh
