I think the worst our network should go is the worst allowed on licensed stations. The Bob and Tom show is an example of what I'm talking about. If there is anything too hot for the airwaves, it should be edited out or at least "bleeped". I know how to bleep audio files using Audacity. I can also add gaps of silence over top bad words. I strive to make sure the worst filth is removed from clips before they are broadcast.
If you say something bad and its not censored, that's when you can get in horrible trouble. If everything is censored, you're fine.
That's my opinion.
We have a very colorful station owner here, owns four stations, who does a talk show 1-hour daily, and in the name of free speech he uses every word allowed by the FCC, which is sort of shocking to hear.
He uses "son of a bitch" "Bastards" "Crap" and a few others in practically every sentence. I like his show not for the language, but because he calls out area politicians by name and runs through a carefully researched list of complaints against them.
I think I've already had him on LPH once. Or, I intended to feature him and didn't. Somebody needs to keep track.
" If there is anything too hot for the airwaves, it should be edited out or at least "bleeped"."
It would also help if programs are pre-bleeped or edited prior to network submission, as well as all programs including a run time sheet.

Hi Lefty, sorry - I was in Pt Roberts with the family all week last week so wasn't able to attend. Will listen to the recording however and provide any feedback I can to help things along. It is a 'given' that part15.us will always be a welcome home and proud supporter of NALPB!
Cheers!
Jon Paul
