Someone here on the part 15 board asked me the other day if I knew a good morning show that would work on part 15 radio stations. I checked around and was surprised that so far as I could determine, of the many podcasts and broadcasts out there, no one is offering a morning show.
What if we did it? I mean, what if every member on here contributed some little modular feature,,, record 5, 6 or 7 of them every week... little 5 or ten minute deals from your location.. then we could have...
"From out of town and around the world it's the BEFORE SHOW SHOW! First to Atrain Radio in Hadden Heights, New Jersey!"
"Atrain here, the temperature is 36-degrees, but it's yesterday, so it doesn't make any difference. I'll tell you this, though, if Trump thinks he can keep saying that stuff he's always mouthing we're all in a lot of trouble because we put up with it. More from Radio8Z in Dublin, Ohio."
And so on.
I can contribute some Blare stuff, maybe Blue Bucket might have something.
Rich could recite the letter of the law rule-wise and MRAM could try to get us to back off a little bit, to make way for Cuyoga Falls This Morning direct from The Traffic Bucket hovering over an intersection where he controlled the traffic signals!
What? Oh... guess I was just dreaming.
There used to be american sunrise radio. At one time there were a handful that did morning shows for part 15 and internet stations.
There is a morning show on the USA Radio Network which I think is availble to part 15 stations, but haven't got around to calling them to confirm yet, however I do know for certain that some of there other offerings are free for part 15 use, like http://animalradio.com for example.
If anyone wanted (and it's hard to imagine). The morning show I do every day is uploaded as a podcast to the stations website. If anyone wanted to download and use it on their Part 15, it's OK by me. But I don't know that it's "universal" enough to work in any other market, but it could be a hoot. All our local news and sports is edited out, there ARE a few songs in it, so if you're looking for a license free show this ain't it. This is the show where the news headlines I post every week are from. Perhaps the small town Minnesota angle of the whole thing doesn't work out of the market. I don't know, but it's out there and you're welcome to it. Friday's show is at:
http://www.kozyradio.com/kozy/kozymmessfri.mp3
and if you change "fri" in the link to mon, tue, wed, or thu you get the show from that day of the week. I generally have it uploaded by 9:30 AM central time. But again, it may be too local to work for anyone. I've done "The Morning Mess" for nearly 40 years now. Not all at this station, but the general schtick remains the same.

Also -- and I realize this is the wrong place to post this but...
I've been trying to post the Oompah Hour update an dhave discovered that I cannot post any new topic in any forum category. I get something like "website has encountered an error. Please try again later". I can post comments and replies to other posts but that's it. Didn't know how else to alert someone to this error.
So, there. Now someone knows.

I've been getting that for days.. I mentioned the problem in a recent post. Unable to post a new thread
I had the Error message yesterday when trying to post something.
Tim, I think running your show from Bovey, Minnesota, woulkd be very camp. (I think that's an expression).
Tim, the Contact menu item under Navigation gets you right through to the Site Administrator.
Well.. the contact seems to work -or at least the message appears to have gone through... As for beginning a new thread, it still doesn't work and hasn't worked since at least the 26th.
However, as you can gather, posting to existing threads is not a problem
Those wanting to understand why some legacy AM broadcast stations were highly successful when many current ones are not might be interested in reading the article linked below.
The staff count at WJR exceeded 100 even in the mid-1960s. WJR had a listener base in at least 38 states and the most-populated provinces of Canada.
Their received signal strengths in those areas not always were interference-free, but still the content/talent of their programming (much of which originated at WJR) gained them a very loyal audience.

That 50 year aniniversy of radio issue posted above is indeed an interesting read, and the stark difference of then and todays digital age is apparent.
Streaming doesn't start from KDX Worldround Radio until 9:30 AM CST, and starting this morning at 7:30 I was sitting here on this chilly drizzly morning thinking about going back to sleep, but the decision was postponed while I mentally remembered all the mornings when I had to be at some radio or tv job early in the morning and even took naps once I got to the station.
Bing! That is the sound of me getting an idea that I am just about to try... I recalled that Tim gave a download link for his morning show, so I figured... what I will do is run Tim's show over the transmitters before the stream starts and call it the "Before Hours Broadcast".
Here we go... Tim's show is downloaded, let me start it up. This is waking me up already.
Earlier this morning I had made a usual scan of the local AM dial to prove once again that everything is sports or church. That's what made me want to go back to sleep.
But instead I listened to Tim's Morning in Bovey show and it was great!
Tim over-prepares for his show, really loaded with novel stories from everywhere... like the world's loudest burper in Australia... who actually did research to find techniques for burping louder.
And it was very understandable why Tim preferred a hockey game to the GOP debate the night before, saying he did not approve of any of the candidates... a feeling I share.
You've got Hitlery Clinton the walking tent and Adolph Trump who wants to put walls around everybody... oh, now I'm doing my own morning show.
Tim's show would work in your market... give it a try.
