During this last night's meeting, a motion was made to make a facebook page, and by golly we did. If you're on the facebook, just go to facebook.com/thealpb and give it a like. If not, either join facebook, or you really can't do much:( So we encourage people to join facebook to see the most current and always updated news and info pertitent to the ALPB and low power broadcasting around the world!
The July 4th ALPB Meeting may have been attended by a record number of Members, continuing discussions about Part 15.239- the rule for the FM band, and other business.
Artisan Radio entered a motion to open an ALPB Facebook page, Atrain Radio instantly began to draft an example of an ALPB Facebook page, and within minutes the page was online and already attracting "Likes" from all over the U.S. and world.
The proposal to open a Facebook page was quickly adopted and Atrain appointed as Page Manager, the most speedy ratification of a new venture in the history of the ALPB.
We now have over 63 members on the page, just within the FIRST day!!!
Even some Pro broadcaster's have joined. This can only Help when we try and get FM raised to the 1,000 uV/m. It will get you 1/4 mile in Stereo to a rubber duck making the SainSonic AX-05B transmitter no longer in a grey area. I think we can do it and if so I hope to see more quarter mile stations in the USA (to a good receiver now remember that!!!).
See I told you it wouldn't take long.
Sorry I missed the meeting, seems like I couldn't locate the server based on the name I was given via email, perhaps it was under a different name.
Anyways, give it a few more weeks and that page will grow faster than you think.
By the way great job on the page, I have already joined it an have recommended it to others who have an interest in part 15 radio broadcasting.
Bruce.
