Carl: How do you air this using software?
Thanks, Mighty. It's Counterspin.
The archive menu leads to standard download links
I've always had it free. Never heard of a charge.
Hmm.. Your welcome Carl, but I'm not Mighty.
You must have got on the sliding scale. On their page "Bring CounterSpin to your Station" it says:
"The cost for the show is $250 per year–less than $5 a show. A sliding scale is available for stations that are unable to pay the full amount.
Contact Deborah Thomas [dthomas (at) fair (dot) org] for any questions about the show.

Just shot a super brief email of inquirey:
Hello Deborah ,
Like your program. I was wondering about your comment: "A sliding scale is available for stations that are unable to pay the full amount."
I was hoping I might be able to include information about your programing on my blog page here: http://part15lab.blogspot.com/2016/02/free-programing-sources-for-your-part.html
Looking forward to your reply.
All the best,
Rich
P.S.: Carl Blare has been getting it for free.
Relax Carl. Just kidding about the P.S. part!
Well, I received rapid auto-reply.. It's kinda weird..

One should always phart fairly
So now you say you're Rich Powers and not Mighty 1650. O.K.
Maybe Counterspin has changed their terms and conditions since years ago when I signed on.
Or maybe my predecessor, the drunk guy who owned KDX before I bought it, was stealing it and didn't tell me.
I'm headed straight over to the private forum where nobody can find me.
Carl I think you're right.,, In spite of what that other page says, on CounterSpins google stations map I cliked on a bunch of individual station icons and the locations and street views all appear to be homes and campgrounds and other - and a LOTof them .. I'm inclined to beleive that when I do make contact, the response will be's it free-to-air

Repeat question:
Good morning JOHN Druid Hills WDCX.
Hello Carl: I meant this site: Public News Service is a daily 5-minute newscast 6-days a week posted in the early morning.
Your question is a good one because this information may be useful to many members for many reasons...
I use a Firefox Browser Extension called FlashGot, which allows grabbing audio from streaming players and videos, and also allows grabbing videos themselves.
With PNS you hit PLAY on their player and then go up on the Firefox toolbar and rightclick FlashGot to download the mp3 audio.
Maybe there's a FlashGot for the other browsers.
WA4JM aka WDCX aka Druid Hills Radio aka John says THANK YOU!
Man I sure got confused towards the end of this thread
Found a great radio (podcast) this morning over on the Boing Boing site.
The "You Are Not So Smart" programs, "A Celebration of Self Delusion," starting with Episode #67 they are exploring the "fallacies" to which we all fall victim.
Found Radio for Thinking Free
ANOTHER GOOD ONE, this time from Mother Jones...
"Bite" for people who think hard about their food!

Take a break from the cartoonesqe presidential candidates from the two "parties".
Dr. Jill Stein is the Green Party USA candidate and has intelligence, compassion, qualifications, and is the subject of this radio program.
Program host Dale Lehman is well known and respected in the public/community radio world.
