Hey -- I'm curious -- I saw on your FAcebook you're going to be streaming on Spreaker, and I see too that you have your shows (including the one above) on Soundcloud and other places where one can listen. I know Spreaker makes it pretty clear that you must have the necessary license to broadcast music on their service. How are you covering the copyright fees for putting the tunes on the internet to listen to? Is there some sort of service providing you coverage for this?
I had thought of putting my polka show on Spreaker but didn't want to make the investment for music license for the internet.

Hey sorry it took me a while to respond. I guess you were looking at my 92.9 page. So I use the free service on spreaker, and haven't had any complaints over the past year of me using it to stream the music show. I hope you enjoy the one hour programs I make!
There's a chance that eventually Spreaker will want to see your paperwork for licensing music for broadcasting on their site. Any music you put on the internet needs to be licensed, but then again, they may never notice.
I Love Spreaker. I use it for my Roller Derby Radio Network -- we broadcast live roller derby bouts from all over Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, even Manitoba! I don't do any of the broadcasting myself, but I'm a derby fan and own the business. Check out http://www.rollerderbyradionetwork.com. Part 15 content: I simulcast bouts of our local team on my station. The arena where they play is in my coverage area!

I am glad you love spreaker.com, but I have moved. The audio isn't working on it, and plus they want me to wait 33 minuets between 30 min broadcasts to start another stream. Forget that. I am now using ustream.com where I can broadcast non stop for as long as I want totally free and with high quality audio.
I use Spreaker with one of their premium services, so I pay (I think) $19.99 a month but we can do up to a three hour live broadcast and do them back to back when necessary. A derby broadcast never goes over two hours. And since we sell plenty of ads to support the project the cost is no biggie.
My Son uses Ustream when his band is playing. He streams his performances live. It works very well also, for sure. He also uses Livestream (at least I think that's the name -- live free streaming video....)
