has anyone bothered to do a santa tracker audio set for christmas eve?
i bet their is a ton of part 15 stations who would love something like this and maybe some of the more creative members could whip something together.
i certainly would be interested.
i would also be interested in finding christmas stories to air christmas eve, such as a christmas story, miracle on 34th street, etc.
NORAD did Santa reports that aired for years. Tracking Santa on Radar. I Have all the reports if anyone needs them.
I think I posted a link for my reports from a radar station watching for Santa as well.
Not many air this sort of thing anymore as kids can track Santa on their computers, iPads, smartphones, etc with online Santa tracking sites.

i do it because many pre internet adults remember the old days of radio with fondness and would likely love to hear those old broadcasts from their childhood again.

I think I posted these earlier in another thread. These are me. I wrote/produced these probably 30 years ago now. They are all in one long audio file and you'll need to edit them into individual reports.

A few years after the Kenny kilohertz reports, I wrote and produced these north pole reports as well. Again, one long file that you'll want to edit indo individual reports to use as you like. They feature me as the reporter and various staff members of KEYZ-AM and KYYZ-FM radio in Williston, ND playing the other characters. These are probably about 1980 or thereabouts. Use as you see fit!

thanks for the norad santa tracker, i haven't heard anything like this since i was real young, what time should i start them on dec 24th (i'm mountain time zone) and do they air hourly?
thanks
I guess air times are at the discretion of the programmer. When I was a kid we listened to them on WCCO in Minneapolis. We'd go out driving around looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve, listening to the reports, and once we heard the one that said Santa had arrived in the USA (or whatever, I don't remember exactly) we drove home and Santa had left presents! So it kinda depends on what time you think people want Santa to arrive!
Some of course believe he comes overnight while kids are in their beds dreaming of sugarplum fairies and all that. Whatever works best for you ๐
