OK, one more song, then that's it till deer hunting season (I have a song for that too)
About 5 years ago we got a flat track women's roller derby team up here. Fastest growing sport in the world! I became a fan instantly. Finally a sport I could understand! It spawned the creation of my first independent broadcast business the Roller Derby Radio Network. We broadcast live play by play of derby bouts in outstate Minnesota via the internet. Anyway....
For my "real" morning show, I decided the derby girls needed a song. Doing a parody of the Beach Boys "California Girls" seemed obvious. This is a clear case of what a guy with an afternoon to waste and a multitrack recorder can do.
I couldn't find good karaoke music (it all had built in background singing that wouldn't work with my lyrics), so I created the backing music using midi instruments on my computer (someone else wrote the midi file, I used it to power my choice of instruments). Then I did FOUR completely different voice tracks (see if you can spot them all) doubling the main voice track (it's not a computer trick, it's me singing two different lead vocals with myself) plus the frightning high harmony part and the one little bass part (all three words). I also dubbed in LIVE roller derby announcer/sound effects from a MN Roller Girls bout in Minneapolis over the intro, etc. Despite my "singing" I consider this so far to be my morning show musical best effort. And it salutes most women's sports. LOL. Here you go:

Use it as you deem necessary!

That is a real thrill and has the excitement needed to push the sport along.
Very excellent work, as always from Tim!
Used to be on TV and watched all the time. A bit like wrestling, a bit of an act between the good guys(girls) and bad guys(girls) but the object of the game to have the jamers do a lap and try to pass the blockers on the other team to get points....I liked.
Haven't seen for a long time now.
