I'm having trouble getting the link up.

(And, if somebody posted this before
forgive me.)

But, anyway, Fair Radio Sales (A cool company
that has been around for decades,) has a book
that is written just for the Ramsey AM-25.

I believe the book is called, "Enhancing the
Ramsey AM-25." You can check it out by
just Googling "Fair Radio Sales Ramsey AM-25,"
or something like that.

Anyway, the book describes how to modify the
AM-25 to become a carrier current transmitter.

I don't have a Ramsey AM-25, but I will probably
get the book anyway.

It sounds like it could be very good information
if you are looking to go CC and can't find a
transmitter.

If any of you guys know more about this, I would
love to hear it.

Maybe the book has some ideas for
making a CC coupler to go with the
transmitter.

Who knows?

I'm getting this book. The product
number over at Fair Radio sales is
BK-AM-25.

Bruce, I think the link you're referring to is:
https://www.fairradio.com/catalog.php?mode=viewitem&item=6054

But he does have a free online version of it at his site along with all his other writings...
Enhancing the Ramsey AM-25" web version is at http://teslapress.com/am25.html The complete book, now free on the web. Build a broadcast AM transmitter by enhancing a flea-power kit into a carrier-current workhorse. A touch of Tesla in the final. Seven illustrations.

The first transmitter I almost bought was going to be a preassemble AM-25 that was on ebay years ago, but I ended up going another route. At the time I distinctly recall downloading a free pdf of it, but can't find it now

I will check these links and
info out.

I will have some more comments on
this tomorrow.

It's been a too long day.

Thanks again Robert and Rich!

I do appreciate it.

"Maybe the book has some ideas for making a CC coupler to go with the transmitter."

I don't recommend that particular approach for a coupler. It is a simple capacitor/fuse inside a plastic container and attached to a grounded plug. Sure it will shove RF onto the line, but it won't compensate nor isolate your TX from the inductance swing and heaven help you if that inductance swings far enough that it blows up your freshly ugly bug modified Ramsey AM 25.

IMO, your better off proceeding how you are now with your air toroid coupler.

Hi RFB!

Well, I think I'll get the book
anyway, just to learn about beefing
up the AM-25.

I don't own that rig, as mentioned,
but if anything happens to the LPB RC-6A,
I'm going to have to put something else
together. I'm really hooked on CC now.

Thanks again for the heads up.
