Hello! for some reason the schematic page of my otherwise complete downloaded Ramsey AM-1 transmitter schematic is blank. everything else is there including layout. But no schematic. Does anyone have one? I built two of these three years ago, had problems with, and, chose to put them aside for a later time. I just came across them while cleaning and want to ressurrect them, and, add a crystal for stability (or a cheap DDVFO, etc...) I have the manuals..."somewhere"...??? 🙂 Thanks if you can help.
I think Neil did some mods to improve this?
Not that I know, but you might want to consider the Vectronics 1290K, "The audio quality of the 1290K is very good: crisp and clean. It beats the Ramsey AM-1 by an order of magnitude. ..Unlike some other kits, the 1290K actually attempts to match its output stage to its antenna. This is part of the reason for the good sound quality..."

Thank you, Both of you. These are in my possession, and until budget allows, I will try a few repairs and mods using mostly my junkbox parts and have some fun. I do think maybe adding a matching circuit, and a modulation transformer to the final will allow me to make do with the Ramseys for this year. All the best!
Taking a second look at this circuit: VERY interesting, and, thanks once more! Maybe graft that design right onto the AM-1.
"I think Neil did some mods to improve this?"
Actually, the modifications I posted were for the Ramsey AM-25. I have no experience with the AM-1.
Neil
