As you guys know, I've been working on
an old Gates board for a long time.
Although it is not anywhere near done, the
outside is starting to look pretty good.

How do I send a photograph along with a
post?
Thanks very much

Hi Bruce MICRO:
While awaiting an answer, I can help in the meantime if you like by putting a link to your picture in a private web location so that people can see it.
If yes, then e-mail me the pic at
I will add the link to this string.
Thank you guys!
I still need to do some work on
the outside of
the board before I can take a
picture of it. The inside is not
yet complete, but I thought you
guys would like to see it.
I will probably do both. Carl, I
will send you a picture, and
SCWIS. I will send one to this
site.
I do appreciate the information.

You guys have heard all of the stories. The
board was a rusted hulk upside down in
a dumpster at a local station. There were
indications that animals had lived in there.
And I found it in the pouring rain.
As I have been doing my best to put it back
together, I have had to try just about everything
2 or 3 times to get it right. Wether it be electronic
or cosmetic - solutions would look OK at first
and then fail. So the only thing to do would be
to try again.
As I get the board ready so it can be photographed,
there is one thing I didn't think of.
The board is supposed to open or shut in two places.
The controls can swing down so you can get into the
front. No problem there. What I didn't expect is that
the top panel doesn't fit right onto the board. The metal
is bent. So I was able to get the top panel attached with
some nuts and bolts. But it won't swing shut because the metal
is bent in a couple of places. So I have to figure out how
to fix that.
I didn't expect that. I love and hate this control board at
the same time.
Best Wishes,
