Very good mix of programs CENTINEL... if your coverage area was slightly closer I would definitely tune in everyday to see what was on at that moment.
Thanks. I'm guessing by the way things are going I'm only going to do a 4-5 hour window in a day to start. But for now I know what I can broadcast without a lot of hurdles, licensing, and cost in special equipment.
Carl said: "...if your coverage area was slightly closer I would definitely tune in everyday to see what was on at that moment."
I blurted: "Why not move closer?"
Druid Hills gets taken seriously: "Why not move closer?"
Let me tell you why that could work.
Besides the 4 or 5 daily hours of programming from PHVERN, CENTINEL is also affiliated with a professionally run cafe, and I'd like to live around the corner from a good cafe so I could have a regular table and "be seen" by my public.
We could work out frequency agreements so that my stations would avoid jamming PHVERN.
Working together we could expand city wide and dominate this town.
I have a friend who gives "Food Tours" in Saint Pete. You could creat a Food Tour Show live from the cafe. Just a thought.
I have given thought to remotely broadcasting from my own cafe, which is a mere 3 blocks from the homestead. And I might end up with the station there anyway, in the basement, if somehow I end up buying the property! There is plenty of room to do a sound proof studio there. Anyhoo, Carl, you'd be welcome to broadcast from there too. We've had all kinds of media there. You can interview mayors, senators, actors, and billionaires with the right timing.
To DHR I'm just not a touristee kind of person. When I go somewhere it's usually to stay. I only leave if I'm asked to, which happens a lot.
And CENTINEL, that sounds like a great opportunity for interviews, but not billionaires... they could afford to buy me but I don't want to sell.
So I entered into a dialog a year ago with Salem Media Group about carrying news. Somewhere along the way I saw a comment here, or elsewhere, about being able to carry their "news" on a Part 15 station. Well, things change, or perhaps I was just mistaken. They just informed me on a follow-up that they can't assist me as a Part 15 station.
