I've been carrying Seti's Big Picture Science radio programming for some time now.  Very professional and interesting program.

The other day I discovered Planetary Society at Planetary.org.  And there it was, Planetary Radio!  This is the radio program section of their operation.

I visited the "affiliates" page and emailed Mat Kaplan to inquire about carrying the program.  Mat responded and was very cordial, inviting me to become an affiliate station.  Just like Big Picture Science, this is a free service.  He even offered to produce some promo announcements to run on my station and to add me to their list of affiliate stations.  What a deal.

Check it out.  You can download episodes from the website and there is a special secret download site available to affiliates only.

Just email Mat Kaplan and let him know you are interested.

Every week Harry Schearer's "Le Show" is one of the cherished programs heard with permission on my molecular-sized radio station. On Sunday Harry shared a golden website that I will now tell about.

http://publicradiofan.com/

What is it? Direct links to the streams of just about every public radio station in the universe.

But that's not all. In the left hand column you will find a link to "podcasts," and these are ALL the podcasts in every genre from the galaxy of public radio.

I haven't read the fine print about terms and condidtions, but I will share my rule-of-tumb opinion:

Persoanl listening is usually the reason most podcasts are posted online, and if you use a part 15 station for private listening, probably o.k.

But for community radio and streaming it is recommended to seek permission from the program's originator.
