On another "Part 15" website, the dominant poster there stated that a ground lead is allowed by FCC regulation for unlicensed systems operating in the AM broadcast band.
What that dominant poster does not (publicly) recognize is that at least one end of such an r-f ground lead must connect to r-f ground.
Physics and practical experience prove that an r-f ground does not exist at the top of a vertical massive wire, a lightning ground wire, or a metallic tower or mast to which such a "ground lead" is attached -- whether or not such a conductor/structure is physically connected to the earth at its base.
As a heads up, FCC NOUOs have been issued to those using such systems while hoping/believing otherwise.
Yes, and thanks for that.
To say that "scientific truth continues to be denied or ignored, by some who wish to believe otherwise" is to ignore the long-standing and still-entrenched religious cults and their faiths which firmly discourage critical thought and the "enlightenment" of science.
Now even scientists are losing faith in science, according to Jim Baggott who argues there is no observational or experimental evidence for many of the ideas of modern theoretical physics.
" ... long-standing and still-entrenched religious cults and their faiths which firmly discourage critical thought and the "enlightenment" of science. ..."
Hopefully Mr Blare is not relying on such as support for his point(s) of view.
Note that at least one mainline religious faith once taught that the Earth was located at the center of the Universe.
PS: What is the response of Mr Blare to the fact that the Radiodiscussion board posts to which I referred in my Reply #4 above did not originate 10 years ago, as he posted?
That there were no long ground leads ten years ago, or that you just hadn't made it your signature advisory?
This is going nowhere useful.
