Hello all,

I am just a noob to part 15 broadcasting who's dream is to start his own part 15 station. And after browsing through these forums I have found alot of support from some very knowledgeable people with varying levels interest and ability. I was wondering if anybody , noobs and experienced alike, would be interested in participating in a weekly, or bimonthly discussion about the topics allready discussed in this forum. I currently run a 15 slot Team Speak 3 sever,( which I use mostly for online gaming ) and would be more than happy to host it. I think that if that if we stayed on topic and kept politics and religion out of it, it could be a good time and very educational for all.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you !

Groo

Hi GrooTheWanderer and you have definitely found the right company for talking Part 15 radio!

The Association for Low Power Broadcasters, the ALPB, holds teamspeak meetings on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays every month, and we just met last night. We hope you become a member of the ALPB.

If you also hold teamspeak meetings about Part 15 topics that will also be good, but that's up to you. The more Part 15 stuff the better!

Hey Carl,

Thanks for the suggestion! I went over and applied right away for membership. I am really excited! As for starting my own TeamSpeak 3 event, its tempting, but I think I would rather be a part of and help promote the one that allready exists! That, and I am a noob! I just wanted to let yall know that even though I am a new to part 15, I really really respect the time and effort it must have taken yall to amass such a huge knowledge base! Just to be a part of the converstaion would be a privilege!

Thanks for you time

Mark Owens

Mark and anyone else interested,

Let me add to what Carl posted about the ALPB meetings. The usual scenario is the "formal" meeting begins at the appointed time and usually concludes in less than an hour. After the meeting many of us stay on and chat about things part15 related or not, almost anything in good taste goes. It is similar to chatting with friends with common interests in the lounge around a fire. Bring your questions and jump right in.

Neil

Yes, the 17th of August (Saturday) at 9PM EDST so adjust this time for your time zone. Also, be sure you contact Bob (MRAM) via the link on the ALPB site so you can get the TeamSpeak login information.

Hope to meet you and anyone else interested at the meeting.

Neil

Neil is absolutely right.

When I try to bring up something in bad taste I get shut down fast!
