At this very moment I'm on the air live recording Blare OnAir.
As soon as I post this message, I'm signing on TeamSpeak at the ALPB Meeting Hall, and you are invited to join me on mic.
Once the program is over 15-minutes from now, it will be too late.
Hurry up.
Perhaps because of the scant notice no one joined me over on the ALPB Open Room, but we will do this again with much better advance notice.
Doing programs at the spur of the moment is something of a trademark here at KDX, where too much formality and lengthy preparation kills the mood.
The next Teamspeak Show will be announced as early as possible, maybe as much as 1-hour ahead of time.
Oh, and here's an idea... it can be done in reverse. The way that works is you can log on here and announce that you will be hanging out at the TeamSpeak Open Room during such-and-such hours and If my mother will let me I'll show up with microphones blazing.
Sounds like a great idea. Seems that was brought out at one of the meetings.
That'd be a hoot to get in on the show.
Would like to crank it up right now but my one and only audio mixer is down.
I hope to have it back on or replaced by tomorrow, so this "flash" program will return.
It is Thursday August 18, 2016, 5:29 PM CDT and as soon as I post this message I am going to lurk on TeamSpeak to greet anyone who shows up there to appear on Blare OnAir from our fully air conditioned tool shed back behind the plant nursery.
If you are not set up for TeamSpeak trip on over to thealpb(dot)com and get the instructions, join the ALPB while you're at it.
I'll be waiting to greet you at the door.
Once again we made a surprise appearance at the TeamSpeak Meeting Room hoping someone could join us for Blare OnAir.
Hey, this is fun! We'll be doing it again from time to time.
Sadly no one was available but the show went on and you can hear it now at the expense of only 55-minutes.
I wandered in about 9:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. No one home.
Not sure that it will be great. But when I appear anywhere, I consider it great!
I think the idea of "open invitation" for your recording is a great concept.
I am usually outside doing something, even if it is just on the patio drinking a cold adult beverage and having a stogy (while listening to the Jacksboro Radio Network).
I am thinking about doing a third try this evening.
Instead of rolling the tape and starting with an empty TeamSpeak Room, I'll monitor 89.9 FM and if someone goes to TeamSpeak and starts talking on their microphone I'll hear it and speed over there as fast as possible.
Tomorrow night is official meeting night so we'll have a crowd and maybe that can be converted into a show.
If I don't respond in a reasonable time tonight it probably means I stepped out.
Nothing tonight.
Carl is turning out the lights and closing the door.
Join us again on another day or night.
Maybe next time...
On the morning before a Bi-Monthly Meeting of the ALPB I always sweep the floor at the TeamSpeak Room and why not broadcast it?
Yes, I'm there, and if you bop over we can actually talk on the radio with you as guest of Blare OnAir.
I will be monitoring 89.9 FM and when I hear your voice I'll put down the brrom and we can talk.
If you're not yet a member of ALPB step into Bob's office to get your TeamSpeak key:
12:42 NOON HOUR in the Midwaste.
Same Place... TeamSpeak Open Room.
Get there post haste.
The 4th Eventless TeamSpeak Open Room edition of Blare OnAir has been concluded.
The program, titled "Fade Out" will be posted here shortly, an educational example of making something out of an empty room.
