It's been at least a year since I've last posted. I do wish I had more time to play. I turned on the transmitter for a couple of hours last night. There is an excellent story on a local tv station's website about our local weatherman starting a low power high school radio station back in 1974. Here's the link: www.abc3340.com. I also have a new use for my transmitter. This summer, I can plug the transmitter into the back of the television and send digital music audio from the cable out to the backyard for entertaining. That way I can visit and not have to spin the records. Take care.

Excellent story, reminds me of when I was an instructor at the local electronics school - N.I.T.
Myself and another instructor built a studio and using an old Eico signal generator put up student run WCFO - The Station That Rocks Three Blocks.
We obtained a cast off commercial FM transmitter from the Akron Public Schools WAPS for hands on training using a dummy load cantenna.
This was an extracurricular activity and was very popular with the students.
