Christians annoy me and there are way too many of them... worst of all they believe in the End of the World and that's not healthy... I will love hearing about that subject!

Also, I was just yesterday trying to remember what is LBGT or LPTDGB... darn, I can't even remember the letters and never know all the categories of gender challenged humans... "genderqueer"? That would add "GQ" to the list.... but what is it?

Everything was set for a deep dive into Rheinhold Gliere's Symphony No. 3, when I remembered that Atrain's latest Rant was ready to hear, so I decided to listen.

Wow, train, this is the best one you've ever done!

Scene one... a lone trans gender person attempts to speak to a schoolboard about gender problems at school. The MOB in attendance drowns him (or her) out by singing "Jesus Loves You, This I Know" at the top of their lungs.

Time was that schools would be a place where educated people hung out.

Let me give Atrain some advice. I think you should get school credit, given the fact you are in college, for your Rant programs. These programs amount to your own continuing education in the art of articulation, and I hear an improvement that keeps expanding since the first rant, which grew out of an ALPB meeting.

It is sad that more people can't begin their professional life with the same intuitive intelligence of an Atrain.

Nature has a helter-skelter way of distributing brains.

Thank you so much carl! I honestly did not think that this was the best one I have done, but I will take your word for it! I am glad you see an improvment in my articulation, as that is something I myself see an improvment in. 

As to getting credit for this, I do not think that will ever happen. I do the Rant Show out of a pure love of giving my opinion on things from a young, progressive, and atheistic perspective. I do this because the age of Rush, Jones, Mike Savage and others are dying, and I feel I have the chance to take over with a progressive show. Plus, this stuff pisses me off, and I need to rant. 

Not sure how this 'rant' has anything to do with Part 15 radio.  Isn't that what this forum is about, not political or religious opinions?  I know I certainly don't have to open or listen to the 'rant' (and I don't), but why is this even a legitmate subject for a forum dealing with Part 15 radio?  And certainly the language leaves something to be desired for those looking for information and an exchange of ideas about this wonderful hobby.

We're under the content section. I produce content. We're talking about the content. That's the connection. 

If you get that offended over language or my political views--then do exactly what you said and don't listen to it.

morningdj was not referring to the language in the rant.  He was referring to the language in the posts, and I agree with him.  We should attempt to keep things civil and somewhat professional.

There's also a fine line between talking about the production of content here (which IS what you have done, Atrain), and giving your own personal opinions (whether agreeing or disagreeing with said content, which is what this has the danger of morphing into).

This Forum is visited by many people of many different opinions, faiths and beliefs.  And it's not supposed to be about THOSE opinions, per say, but about Part 15 radio.

I agree with Artisianradio, and I promise to try and keep it that way. I will do my best to refrain from cursing on here as well. 

However, my rant shows won't stop

I understand it is "content", but I would assume that the "content" would be Part 15 related content.  Personal opionions about religion or politics should be reserved for websites used for those purposes.  No one would deny Atrain's or anyone's right to opinions.  They certainly are welcome to express them in writing or vocally, but there are sites designed for those purposes.  It shouldn't appear on a Part 15 Hobby Broadcast site. 

Atrain should absolutely continue his 'rants'--no problem or issue with that, but I don't think a Part 15 website should be the platform for promoting them.

Production of programs would seem to be a Part15 hobby activity and several of our members do so.  An announcement that such programs are available is presently allowed as a courtesy to the producers and to those who might be interested in these programs.

When the content of these programs becomes a topic for discussion here then there could be a problem if such content is controversial.  It is beyond the purpose of this site to provide a comment forum where controversial issues which are not related to the hobby are discusssed.  Historically, politics and religion are not suitable topics here.  If there is a need to discuss such topics then forums dedicated to the subjects should be sought.

We are experiencing a coarsening of culture in general and this is manifest in news programming and political debates and on many other discussion boards.  Manners and appropriate language should be the norm but it seems that these are not important for many venues but they should be at this site.

It is hard to be a "warm community" when tempers and language degrade and now is a good time to reverse this trend here.

Now I think that we're beating a dead horse here.  There have been too many locked threads recently, and I really don't want to do that here.

Not all content is Part 15-related (such as music shows, which is what most of us do).

I think that the initial post by atrainradio was OK, and not too different than what many others post here to promote Part 15 broadcasting shows.
