Something Bigger is About to Happen!

Although I just fell asleep and missed everything that happened during the last half-hour, I did some math and find that the ALPB (Association for Low Power Broadcasters) is 3.3 Years Old!

ALPB held its first meeting at 7 PM Eastern Time Friday, August 31, 2012 under the original name National Association of Low Power Broadcasters (NALPB). At that meeting we realized that Johny C. Rag FM in New Zealand and Artisan Radio in Canada were outside the Nation, so became the international ALPB.

To celebrate these years of regular meetings while also succeeding in holding onto jobs and marriages, a Special Two Hour Anniversary Radio Program is being patched together for release just in time for Easter.

The program will be released in this thread and at thealpb(dot)com forums so be sure to keep watch.

That's great, I could run it on my Talkin House, but I doubt my neighbors would understand it, though they might be entertained.

When your neighbors know there is a PROFESSIONAL organization of low power broadcasters like yourself they will be much more impressed by you and your station.

And, Mister Nate Crime, if they don't understand the program, tell them it is exstremely educational, way above colege level, and they'll again be impressed by your cultural high standards.

They will pretend to understand it!

The ALPB at 3.3 Celebrates 3-Years 3-Months since the founding of the Association for Low Power Broadcasters.

We invite radio stations and listeners inside the most recent Teamspeak Meeting to enjoy two hours in celebration.

Attention Stations.

The ALPB Meeting files are cleaned up so no discretionary language is contained, except that I detected a S_word that slipped through in Part 1 about mid-way through.

Before midnight I will upload a corrected version with "V2" in the title.

The ALPB looks out for you.

Mr. Blair, thank you very much for making these special aniversery programs available.  They will be a great addition to The ALPB archives, documenting our time-line.  It's hard to believe it's been over 3 years now.

I can only hope that Joe Martinez (Lefty Gomez) the founding father of The ALPB notices and has an opportunity to listen and realize that his idea is still very much alive and well.

Thank you very much Chairman Bob... it's a pleasant little not-so-secret society going on with the ALPB.

As posted above, Part 1 of the ALPB at 3.3 Program had an "S_word" which is now covered with a bit of a tone in V2.

So, the ALPB is just a few months older than Iron Range Country, KEBS?  I'm coming up on third year anniversary since going on the air.

How time flies!

Morning Mr. Powers:

The Link to Part 1 in the opening post is canceled because of an S_word removal.

The corrected Link to Part 1 is in Post # 7.

Happy East Turn Sunday from the ALPB.
