Not bad at all for a little transmitter like that! I'd see about modifying it to run off wall power, it sounds like the coverage is good enough to have you just keep the antenna by a window.
A new member has this transmitter and has modded it with good results too.
Have you tried the Broadcastvision?
If you are going to advertise it's good to be using a certified transmitter without mods.
If the BV transmitter you got for $25 is working right the coverage should be almost the same as the modded Sosche.

I wanted this rig to be as close to the pool as possible knowing a potentioal listner will prolly use fm chip in smartphone to listen.
The BV sounds wonderful and gets out well. I have used it to experiment with a really cheap bluetooth audio reciever and sending the programming on an old smartphone. It works well.
I haven't really done much with the BV but I want to. I have been thinking potiential formats
Secret agent/lounch type music (think music cool 60's type guys like Matt Helm or those Ad Men might listen to).
Also single artist like 24/7 Pink Floyd.... wait we have a classic rocker here that pretty much does that.
Could do stoner music, British Invasion, Zen type healing music and chants and what not
Any Ideas?
Don't think any other station does British Invasion so that could be a good one.

I just got the new version one of these at Walmart today, it was 6 bucks on amazon but you have to get it as an addon item and spend more money. Was like 13.96 or something, about 15 dollars after tax. The FMT4R (FCC ID: IKQFMT4R). I love this little thing so much, it's like the little 2 AAA iRock I used to have when I was 14 in Japan (now lost) that got me started in Part 15 FM but much better, the iRock barely made it 30 feet open air, and didn't make it much past the walls of whatever room I was in. Nonetheless I used to carry it everywhere with me with my little Sony Walkman MP3 player to play pirate radio at the park or downtown and sometimes left it running in the backpack as the thought of a pirate station on my back amused me.
I really missed it and wanted to get back to my roots where it all started and this little Scosche does that finely but even more. Much smaller, more frequencies that only requires a button push instead of the 4 switch 88MHz selector and best off more range. I haven't done a limit test yet but I was able to walk all around the house and keep the meter on my CC Pocket Radio pegged. Even with interference from the cheap noisy laptop charger which is really bad. That's about 50-60 feet through walls, something the iRock couldn't do. Looks like I'm gonna have loads of fun taking this around places again to goof off nearly 10 years later.
