with room made for EAS Decoder...
That is nice. My system was once comprised of 4 racks of stuff, two studios each with their own 8 channel RCA consoles and a well hidden "hell hole" troth for all the wiring between the studios and TX room.
Then I found out that 90 percent of the stuff could be eliminated as well as the extra 90 percent of the electric bill every month. Dropped from over 180 to less than 40.
It's all in the "X" closet along with the other beefier X devices for that day when the big boys fail again and get knocked out, the fleas can come and save the day. Maybe then we will get our LPAM service authorized and transmit a glorious 10 watts on a 50 foot stick.
That will be the day eh!

Wow! Whata studio!
I really like the retro consoles with giant meters and rotary knobs.
Looks like the WHLO studio I saw when I was a kid, all those years ago.
When my station grows up I truly hope it is like yours 🙂
Hello kc8gpd. I just stopped by for a second look at your beautiful studio. That is a radio station if I've ever seen one.
Now, I have an AMT-5000, and yet here I sat looking at your AMT-5000 and reminiscing about those lovely days spent building the kit. Then I saw something different..... your control knobs are facing upward and not through to holes on the face of the cabinet. Maybe I envy that. Maybe mine should be changed. What does it mean?
After seeing Carl's Comments I had to go look again, and sure enough the knobs are inside, as are the RCA audio inputs.
Whats the purpose of this?
The Knobs actually make sense, that way you can't bump them and change the values.
It Could be this is an SSTran option for outdoor enclosure installation.
it is pre setup for the outdoor enclosure i had phil save me a step when he looked at it for me. now when he makes the boxes available all i have to do is order one and drop the sstran in.
