Looking for math formula folks use in theory of coverage area.
For instance, if I have a signal which goes acceptable strength at 1400 ft on AM, should have omni circular pattern.
What is the formula that gives total square feet based on sloppy math assumption of 1400 feet in 360 degrees.
Trying to estimate total transmitters required to cover a fixed area.
Anyone?

Area of a cicle is pi (3.14) * radius squared. Is that what you want?

Yes sir! Correct.
Geometry was my least favorite class. Horribly mean teacher reading from the book.
Doing some estimates based on transmission observed distances.
