LPFM
I can't understand the excitement over LPFM. It seems that you must be a bona fide educational entity to be qualified. This doesn't seem applicable at all to "community broadcasters" who are interested in just broacasting music and maybe some local news. Does anyone have a different take on this?

To me, LPFM is a joke. The criteria for applying is virtually impossible to meet, applications sit for years and can be dismissed for almost anything, and you have to operate in Dumptruck, Idaho to even put a station on the air. What a useless exercise.
