Noone is manning the spam filter queue. its possible they've gotten caught up in it. I rarely check here anymore since the change of hands, and even more problematic since I don't have direct access to the hosting site, but I plan on setting aside some time soon to clean up the monumental mess as soon as i can set aside the time. As much as I can from this end.

Actually, I am monitoring the SPAM filter queue and have to deal with several SPAM posts each day. The filter does a good job of preventing SPAM from appearing on the site but now and then one will sneak through. If a legitimate post is caught by the filter it should appear after moderator review which can take several hours at times.
The SPAM filter shouldn't have anything to do with previously visible posts disappearing but are you talking aobut your new posts? Sometimes these get flagged but they don't disappear but rather wait for moderator review before being visible. If you are looking for old posts, could it be a weakness in the SEARCH function here that prevents you from finding them? I have trouble getting the SEARCH to work at all but it may be because of the way my browser is set up.
