As mentioned before, my access to
the computer(s) is unpredictable.
Luckily, last night here in CT, USA,
I was able to get RAG FM in on the
computer here.
After a while, I found the FM transmitter
for "SLUG 107.5" - a "joke name" for
one of my little 15.239 transmitters.
I got RAG FM going through it to radios in
my house. Then I
heard a really good early rock and roll
show about midnight my time. I started
to fade out and went to sleep. The next
morning at 8:AM local I woke up and Rag
FM was still going. Johnny C was on.
Really good production.
Great stereo audio feed, too.
This was really fun. I like the music.
There were lots of "rock and roll/top 40"
songs that I had heard. Quite a few I
had never heard, and some songs that
I knew, but different artists were performing
them. (Meaning - artists I had never heard
performing songs that I knew.)
Also, there were rock/top 40 songs from different
parts of the world - for instance - you could hear
a song that was a gigantic hit in Europe, but never
even made to the USA. Or whatever. This was
interesting.
RAG FM locally (New Zealand) is on 107.7. I had to retransmit on
107.5. Here (Mytown, USA) - 107.7 has a station on it. It would have
been cool to retransmit on 107.7. Close, but no cigar.
RAG FM. Really good! A lot of fun! I'm going to listen more.
This is part of my "quest" to hear as many part 15 stations
on the internet from Part 15.US and the ALPB site.
Bruce
Thanks for clicking in Bruce. Glad you like the shows.
As I've said, I'm setting up an indoor antenna experiment driven by an AMT3000 transmitter, sending ONLY part 15 online streams.
Johny Cole's RAG-FM will be the first station to be heard on KHZ AM 1640, followed by other great part 15 streams.
This website will really wake up when I start sending results complete with photos and findings.
Keep the good shows coming.
