Carl and Neil specifically. Did you like the show?

I caught most of it and had fun listening and learned a great deal about cookies. I agree that the Temptations did a much better job with that song.

The audio sounded just fine so perhaps the trouble earlier was on my end.

Hope you had fun doing the show.

Neil

You do a good show. The fact that you enjoy it comes across and the listener is drawn in by that.

At times when your mic came on it seemed to be blasting at a higher level than the music, but at other times it was more balanced.

A rule of thumb that a producer of an international talk/music show used was to reach peaks of 0 dB (100%) on the VU meter with music, and peaks of -3dB on voice.

By keeping the voice slightly below music it sounds more natural to listeners... music should naturally be the loudest because it has several musicians, whereas the guy talking is just one voice.

If you talk louder than the music then the musicians sound like midgets and you sound like a giant.

I was listening on the stream. I don't know how it sounded on the WCFI signal.

As always a great show.  I enjoy the selections and commentary.

The main difference between the off air and stream is the Nautel transmitter has the built-in Orban processor which tends to level the audio.

I recorded the first 25 minutes off air and the rest from the stream to compare.  Other than a little more dynamics from the stream audio the quality of both was substantially the same.
