this thing sounds as good as or better than local am stations around the dial. audio is superb!!!
i am officially in the optimod club and boy did i hit a home run.
That's yours?!
Nice.
Gotta LOVE Orban!!!:) You smacked a "Grand Slam"!!
Currently using an 8000A here....am planning to have it re-capped- -- but I need to find out if Kim in Ohio is still going to keep the business running after Bill's recent passing.....
ENJOY that Optimod-AM!!!
Nice! I've got a 9000A myself, yours is definitely a step up! Does yours have the stereo card?
wanted to get it in the rack asap to see how it compared to my inovonics 235 and it blows that thing out of the water. the inovonics will eventually go on my remote 15.219 site the optimod is on the main 15.221 neutral loaded C-C site.
Isn't the Optimod and the Invonics two completely different creatures?
Different proccess purposes?
got to work with what i can get my hands on. sure i would love to have another optimod for the second site but that is not feasible at the moment so in a pinch i use the inovonics. it's not a single frequency network so it won't have any real effect on the quality. it's just that my remote site on 1620 won't sound as loud and full as my main site on 1630.
no biggie.
@Mighty1650 i checked the optimod and it does have card 10 in it, so this is a full stereo enabled B/2 ๐
@Oldie919 it only cost me $800.00 Shipped.
I think he has the Inovonics 235, which is a complete processor just like the optimod is. Though the 235 isn't very popular and some folks don't like the way they sound.
