Hi Guys, I have been reading the posts for some time now and thought I better say Hi."Well Hi".

Hi Guys, I have been reading the posts for some time now and thought I better say Hi."Well Hi".
I have run a LPFM station in Raglan New Zealand RAG-FM 107.7 and online at http://ragfm.com for just over 4 years.
All though we dont have part15 am in NZ, I still find your topics interesting reading. I hope you dont mind me joining and adding when I can. Thanks Johny

we could use a definite confirmed set of rules for NZ's license exempt LPFM service for the library or our archives.

maybe start a new topic named "NZ license Free FM Rules" or something like that and write out all the rules that apply or a link to a document in English on your radio regulation agencies website that has the rules spelled out.

This is slightly silly, but what if....

What if a part 15 man declared himself a New Zealand radio service, flew a NZ flag, and operated under the license-free NZ rules.

Might even claim diplomatic immunity.

Might get by with it for a week, or a year.

Hope someone tries it so we can hear about it.

Would like to see pirate radio done from a large airship or airplane or large hydrogen balloon suspended platform maybe solar powered with a sat fed relay. Plausable denyability on part of sat broadcaster. FCC would basically need to shoot it down to get it off air.

Hi, I'm Bob - MRAM 1500 kHz in Ohio.

Seems it's assumed your LPFM is license free.

Please fill in the blanks about your NZ LPFM service.

Hi Guys, went to get the link to our regs, lol government site was down. Ill upload them to my web site tomorrow and put a link to it.
In a nutshell, we are aloud to use 1 watt on these freqs
87.6 MHz 87.7 MHz 87.8 MHz 87.9 MHz
88.0 MHz 88.1 MHz 88.2 MHz 88.3 MHz

106.7 MHz 106.8 MHz 106.9 MHz 107.0 MHz
107.1 MHz 107.2 MHz 107.3 MHz 107.4 MHz
107.5 MHz 107.6 MHz 107.7 MHz

The license is free but we must stay in our bands. In the town where I live we have 2 LPFM stations, myself on 107.7 and the other on 88.2.
There is also another station which is a community radio station on 98.1 on 100 watts(they have to have a license)

Heres the link to our "Rules" http://www.rsm.govt.nz/cms/licensees/types-of-licence/general-user-licences/low-power-fm-broadcasting

Yes we have mafia fees as well
http://www.apra-amcos.co.nz/music-consumers/broadcast-music-radio-or-tv/radio-low-power.aspx
http://ppnz.co.nz/low-power-fm.php

But we are aloud to get some income to cover costs at $10,000 a year.
So forget it if you want to make any income.

Even those Chinese "CZH" units can exceed the specs called for in those rules!

Now what is so wrong with having similar licensing for the US?

Hint: It's not technical or interference preventing it.

Getting better part 15 rules would be a matter of politics. Robert at kc8gpd wants to start a political discussion site, and I think he plans to use it to get us better part 15 rules.

i plan to use it to educate the public on what is really going on in addition to better part 15 rules.

if we don't bombard washington with phone calls, emails, and letter in droves over these types of supreme court cases and legislation coming out and tell them to wise up or we will give you walking papers the country will just progressively get worse as it has for last 60 or so years.

i only post what politics could pertain to what we do here. this site will be for all anti constitutional politics these Representatives try to shove down the american peoples throat.

Starting tomorrow I'm going to put a portion of The Constitution of the United States on the schedule EVERYDAY FROM NOW ON.

I think there are some good readings available somewhere on line, if I find them I'll tell you.
