I tested this unit with and without audio, pots up,down, sideways, backwards, its just plain broken! Also the audio pot for the left channel was intermittent due to a cold solder joint,as was the x100 switch. Remember, these were factory rejects! Regards,Lee
When I found out (after reading the post by Carmine5) that Radio Sandy Springs covers all of Sandy Springs, GA, with 11 Rangemasters, I assumed that Sandy Springs is a small town. "Sandy Springs, Georgia" has such a rustic ring to it that I thought that was where some Andy Griffith character came from. Imagine my surprise when I learned that Sandy Springs is actually quite a big place. It is practically part of Atlanta, and has a population of 87,000. The land area is pretty big, too. Glancing at the map, it looks to me to be between 10 and 20 square miles. It surprises me that the whole city can be covered by only eleven Rangemasters. I wonder what kind of antennas they are using. Even if the antennas are longer than 3 meters, it would be very difficult to cover the whole area with only 11 transmitters.
The only other composite transmitter of this kind that I know of is used by WLOY, which is the campus radio station of Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. The campus is small, covering only a few city blocks. Yet, it takes five synchronized Rangemasters to cover this small area.
Missed communication,a defective unit and a misunderstanding-all resolved now with gear123,he is actually a stand-up guy and stands behind his stuff! Sorry I jumped the gun on bashing him,my apologies to Don and all.... Regards,Lee
