In these pictures it shows you all what kind of electrical lines and such are near my house.

Just wondering what your thoughts are for the install.
it still looks like the top of the house is the best bet.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Hi Lefty, the pictures show a lot about the location you have available.

There is some yard space visible, but you must have a reason for not planting your AM stick out on the ground. Why is that not an option?

The end of your house where the roof is sloped from the ridge downward with the window beneath it looks like a good spot. Maybe string two radials from eave to eave below the window with the antenna going upwards secured to the center of the window frame or the eave at the top above the window. This would make coil adjustment easy if you can tolerate looking at it out the window.

I doubt the signal will get out as well being on the ground.
that being said perhaps with a ground system it would get out better than on the roof .

I like Neil's idea , I will investigate more.

Thanks guys for looking and I will take more ideas from you all.
The Goal is to get a good solid signal as far as I can.

Thanks

My ATU was originally mounted to the TV mast on the house about 25 feet off the ground. The ATU was about 6 feet off the roof directly over the TV antenna.

At some point I added 6 radials each about 12 feet long spaced equally around the base of the ATU. It seemed to help a little.

With all the discussion about ground mount (after that much discussed video showing the exceptional coverage) I decided to try that. I put it about three feet off the ground with 12 - 20 foot radials equally spaced around the base. The coverage was terrible.

Then I moved it to the side of my tower about 25 feet off the ground. But it was too close to the tower and the coverage was even worse.

So, I put it back on the TV mast on the house, no radials. It's never worked better.

Now, I did have the ATU apart a couple times as there was an intermittent problem with it. Perhaps I inadvertantly corrected a problem which caused the improved coverage even without the radials.

There is currently no separate earth ground attached. The grounding point of the ATU is attached to the TV mast pipe but there is no ground on the TV antenna or mast pipe. The only ground point would be at the transmitter through the coax shield.
