It was many years ago, there was this guy who had a perfect condition consumer Betamax VCR that he kept going into the 1980s.

He was very smart and knew it was a better tape format than VHS.

VHS stands for "Video Home System" patented by Victor Corporation of Japan, and improved itself with SVHS (Super-VHS) just as digital video tape was introduced, not the best timing.

All of human history is being lost everyday because of obsolete media formats.

The only thing left is beer and women.

There were some morons myself included, that thought VHS was Vertical Helical Scan. But in reality was Slant Track not vertical.

Next thing you know, they'll get rid of black and white TVs and 8 tracks.
